Just Another "Old Boy" Pope
Boy Ol' Boy! Laura Washington of the Sun-Times sure is worked up over women being "opressed and exploited" by The Church. The Cardinals didn't pray to "her Jesus", and so Benedict isn't really her Pope, I presume.
I wonder if Catherine of Sienna or Mother Teresa knew they had no voice and could not lead? Believe me, The Church and the world would be a hell of a lot different if those two hadn't been so ignorant about their powerlessness. And Dear Lord! let the Holy Spirit know that this whole damn pope-picking thing has been "illegitmate" right from the get go- in the spirit of gender equality, Jesus obviously should have consulted Mary and Martha before He named Peter His rock!
Of course, Laura, it's nothing tossing a few bitchy butchy wiccan nuns in lime-green pant suits into the conclave wouldn't fix.
(Hey Laura, I know this really far-out protestant parish right down the road, why don't you go there, conjure up a few potions, and be happy- leave those of us who actually love being Catholic alone and in peace. I mean, we do have a right to our opinion don't we?!)
